That’s right, the original motivation of this game was a bug found in realm revolutions, in which there were too many citizens in the game. And i have no idea what it might have caused, but after I played too much, I began to see an interesting phenomenon: There are several nation-states in the game, and in one of them, only citizens dislike the government. I also played the game when citizens were discontent, but I thought it was a bug, and only the peasants could arrange a revolution. But i didn’t tested the game thoroughly, because i was curious about what would happen in this case. And suddenly, i realized, that if you remove this problem, you can easily arrange several revolutions in the game, although they will be random and each citizen has its own authority. So I begun to fill the game with discontent peasants, and the disaster began. And here we are, my first game. Hope you enjoy it.

nice game and fun to play, love it. As a developer i like the artstyle, the start ui and the general look&feel of it. If you have time i would recommend adding or even remaking all the villages that were build at the start. All these lonely villages are easily playable again.
Very nice work. You get the impression that the game is actually made by a serious developer (only by the fact that you are a student, i guess) with a lot of experience, although i’m not a pro and i don’t play games. I see that you worked hard and that you’re proud of your work, so that makes me want to know more about your programming experience. Maybe you can tell me if there is any method to find out what variables/functions/etc. are used in each file?

– Combat is bland and formulaic. There is a lot of randomness in the
outcome of battles, sometimes you kill everything while on other
occasions you’ll destroy everything and still not get a single
hit. There is no progression system, the knights you command have
a set of stats they can increase as well as new skills, there is
no equipment system yet, the knights cannot be resummoned after
death and there is a non-linear endgame.
– Graphics are not bad, the game looks OK, the sprites do not
stand out from the others. The music is good and the overall
sound effects are adequate. The sound quality could be a bit
better.
– Controls and interface are not great, because the vast majority
of the menu involves choosing attacks and most of the sprites
for the controls are small, it is not possible to see at a
glance what an attack is going to do. There are no credits
whatsoever at the end. The English subtitles are not available.
The controls will often fail to register input (in my case, I
was very frustrated when my first attack didn’t do anything) and
sometimes I get stuck while selecting an attack due to a bug in
the user interface.
– When loading, there is a two-second delay, then the screen
shows a scrolling title, a bit of graphics then finally the main
menu. This is rather long, since it is always the same. When the
main menu appears you get to pick your character and background,
then you start the game. The introductory scenes are OK, but the
rest of the game features the same cutscenes with characters
saying a bunch of weird shit about this and that. The cutscenes
are somewhat random, at times they are funny but at other times

- : Blood And Noir, edited by Eric Van Lustbader and Dan Fesperman, presents a collection of short stories, my review of which you can find here. The 19 stories were selected by a panel which included Tariq Ali, Ann Allen, Peter Blauner, John Connolly, Hamid Ismailov, Sean Ogden, Damion Searls, and George Sinka. In their introduction to the volume, the editors state that they selected the stories after throwing a lavish party to which they invited the likes of Hunter S. Thompson, Elmore Leonard, Joyce Carol Oates, Donald E. Westlake, Chuck Palahniuk, Updike, Mitch Hedberg, and Nicholson Baker. Everyone was there except Chuck Nickerson, which was a big mistake, and who is still held responsible for my birthday which started the party in the first place.

While I share most of the editors’ opinions on books and other literary matters, there was no buts about how I personally felt about whether these short stories represented the best in books or science fiction, fantasy, or both. The short stories left the reader with a sense that they wanted to put a gun in their head. That’s no surprise, but what is surprising is how much the stories seemed to show how people live in situations in which it would be nigh impossible to survive. As the title implies, the stories feature noir and the review section for them includes a discussion on classic noir themes and ideas.
Originally appearing in the pages of GQ magazine, the collection starts off in “Negro Hill,” itself a nouveau noir story which details the misadventures of Walter White. What makes this tale unusual is that the action is chronicled from Walter’s viewpoint. Given the conceit of this book, such a viewpoint would be expected. Here, however, it is taken to a whole new level. Walter is seen from the beginning of his life taking care of two young siblings, managing his wife’s rundown shop, and attending a community college for “LIC” (at a time when the term “dual enrollment” referred to nothing more than a legal threat).
